1.The short version
- We do not sell your information. We don't rent it, trade it, or pass your quote request to other agencies, lead buyers or data brokers.
- We keep it in-house. We use what you give us to quote, write and service your insurance with Allstate, and to stay in touch with you.
- We only share it when we need to: with Allstate as your insurer, with companies that run our systems for us under contract, or when the law requires it.
- You're in control. Reply STOP to any text, ask us to stop calling, or call (516) 762-4195 to see or correct your information, or to ask us to delete it.
2.Who we are and what this policy covers
Vanderbeck Agency ("Vanderbeck Agency," "we," "us" or "our") is a local insurance agency that sells Allstate insurance products. Our main office is in Ronkonkoma, New York, and we also serve clients in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit vanderbeckagency.com and its pages (the "Site"), request a quote, call or text us, or otherwise deal with our agency. It applies to people in the United States.
Allstate Insurance Company and its affiliates are separate companies with their own privacy notices. When you apply for or buy a policy, the insurer's privacy notice also applies to the information the insurer receives. Your use of the Site is also governed by our Terms of Use.
3.Information we collect
Information you give us
When you request a quote, fill out a form, chat with our website assistant, call, text or email us, we may collect:
- Contact details: name, mailing or property address, ZIP code, phone number and email address.
- Quote details: date of birth, gender and marital status; the number of drivers in your household; vehicle year, make and model; property type, age, size and number of stories; whether you have current insurance and who your current insurer is.
- Policy and service details: information you share with an agent to finish a quote or service a policy, such as driver's license numbers, driving and claims history, lienholder or mortgage company, and details about a loss. We collect these by phone, in person or through the insurer's systems, not through the Site's forms.
- Your messages: what you tell us in calls, texts, emails and forms, and questions you type into our website assistant.
We do not ask for Social Security numbers, bank account numbers or payment card numbers through the Site. Premium payments are made through Allstate, not through our website.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect some technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that sent you to us, and the date and time of your visit. We use your IP address to estimate your general location (state, city and ZIP code), not your exact location. See Cookies, call tracking and similar technologies.
Information from other sources
To quote and underwrite insurance, the insurer may obtain information about you and others in your household from consumer reporting agencies and similar sources, such as motor vehicle records, prior claims history and, where the law allows, credit-based insurance scores. See Consumer reports and underwriting. We may also receive information about you from someone who adds you to a household quote or policy, or from the insurer about the policies we service for you.
4.How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- prepare quotes, submit applications, and help you buy, change, renew and use your insurance;
- contact you about your quote request and about insurance products and services that may fit you, by phone, text or email, as described in Phone calls, text messages and email;
- service your policies, answer your questions, and help with billing, documents and claims;
- check that the phone number and email you enter are valid, and prevent spam, fraud and misuse;
- personalize the Site, for example by showing your state in a heading or filling in your ZIP code;
- understand how the Site and our advertising perform, and improve our content and service;
- train our staff and keep records of our conversations; and
- comply with insurance and other laws, respond to regulators, and protect our rights and the rights of others.
6.We do not sell your information
We do not sell, rent, trade or license your personal information to anyone. We do not share your quote request with other insurance agencies, lead buyers, lead aggregators or data brokers, and we do not give your contact information or quote details to other companies for their own marketing.
When you request a quote from us, you hear from our agency, not a list of strangers.
7.Phone calls, text messages and email
Consent to be contacted
When you submit a quote request or form with your phone number, you agree that Vanderbeck Agency may contact you at that number about your request and about insurance offers, including by calls and text messages that may use automated technology or prerecorded or artificial voice messages, as described in the consent shown with the form and in our Terms of Use. Your consent is not a condition of buying any product or service. You can always call us at (516) 762-4195 instead.
Text messages
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts. We'll send one message confirming you've opted out.
- Reply HELP for help, or call (516) 762-4195.
- Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Our internal do-not-call list
You may ask to be placed on our agency's internal do-not-call list at any time, by telling the person on the call, by replying STOP to a text, or by calling (516) 762-4195. We will honor your request within the time the law requires. We follow the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the National Do Not Call Registry rules, and New York's telemarketing law (General Business Law ยง 399-z), which includes text messages.
Every marketing email from us includes a way to unsubscribe. Even if you unsubscribe from marketing, we may still send you messages about your quote, policy, billing or claims.
Call recording
Calls with our agency, including calls to tracking numbers on our Site and ads, may be recorded or monitored for quality, training and record-keeping. When a call is recorded, you'll hear a notice at the start of the call. If you don't want the call recorded, tell us and we'll help you another way.
9.Our website assistant
The Site includes an assistant ("Ask us") that answers common questions. It answers from a fixed set of answers written by our agency. It is not a live person, and it does not send your questions to an outside artificial intelligence service.
- Your conversation is kept in your browser's session storage so it's still there as you move between pages. It is cleared when you close the browser tab.
- The assistant records usage events, such as which question was asked or which button was clicked, in the Site's analytics layer so we can see which answers help and which are missing.
- If you enter a ZIP code or choose to start a quote, the assistant takes you to our quote form with that information filled in.
- The assistant doesn't ask for your name or contact details. We receive those only if you submit a quote request or form. The questions you ask may be recorded, without your name or contact details, in our website analytics.
- Please don't enter sensitive information, such as Social Security, driver's license or account numbers, in the assistant.
10.Consumer reports and underwriting
To give you an accurate quote and decide whether to issue a policy, the insurer may order consumer reports about you and members of your household, such as motor vehicle records, prior loss and claims reports and, where state law allows, credit-based insurance scores. These reports are obtained and used under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act and applicable state insurance laws. If the insurer takes an adverse action based on a consumer report, it will send you the notice the law requires, including how to get a free copy of the report and dispute errors.
11.How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, as required by New York's SHIELD Act (General Business Law ยง 899-bb). As an insurance agency licensed by the New York State Department of Financial Services, we comply with the Department's cybersecurity regulation (23 NYCRR Part 500) to the extent it applies to us. Our safeguards include limiting access to the people who need it, using secure systems from our insurer and service providers, and training our team.
No website, email or text message is completely secure. Please don't send Social Security, account or card numbers by email, text or web form. Call us instead.
If a security breach involves your private information, we will notify you and the New York authorities as required by General Business Law ยง 899-aa, which generally requires notice to affected New York residents within 30 days after the breach is discovered. Pennsylvania residents will be notified as Pennsylvania's breach notification law requires.
12.How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. For clients, that is generally the life of your policies and afterward for the period insurance and business record-keeping laws require. For quote requests that don't become a policy, we keep information only as long as reasonably needed to follow up with you and to meet our legal obligations, and then delete it or remove the details that identify you. We keep internal do-not-call requests for as long as the law requires.
13.Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- see the personal information our agency holds about you;
- correct information that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your information, unless we must keep it to service a policy, to follow the law or to keep required records; and
- stop marketing calls, texts or emails, or add you to our internal do-not-call list.
To make a request, call (516) 762-4195 or write to us at the address in Contact us. We'll need to confirm your identity before we release or change information. We'll respond within a reasonable time and within any deadline the law sets. For information held by the insurer, such as your policy records or consumer reports, we'll help you reach the insurer, or you can contact the insurer directly using the details in its privacy notice.
If you live in a state that gives you additional privacy rights, contact us and we will honor those rights as that state's law requires.
14.If you become a customer
Information about people who buy insurance is also protected by financial privacy laws: the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, New York's Regulation 169 (11 NYCRR Part 420) and, for Pennsylvania customers, Pennsylvania's insurance privacy rules. When you buy a policy, the insurer will give you its privacy notice, which explains how the insurer uses and shares customer information and your choices.
As the insurer's agent, we handle customer information consistently with that notice. We disclose customer information only to the insurer and its affiliates, or as those laws permit, such as to service your policy, to comply with the law, or with your consent.
15.Children's privacy
The Site is meant for adults and is not directed to children or teenagers. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from anyone under 18. When a parent or guardian adds a young driver or other minor to a household quote or policy, the parent or guardian provides that information, and we use it only to quote and service that policy. If you believe a minor has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
16.Links to other websites
The Site links to websites we don't control, including Allstate's customer account site for payments, ID cards and policy documents, and our social media pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not apply to them.
17.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If we make a material change to how we share personal information, we'll give notice on the Site before the change applies to information we already have. This version is effective September 27, 2026.
